Andrew Hobbs

Andrew is an excellent communicator with an enthusiastic approach to his topics of interest tempered with a low-key humour. His first passion is his family (his wife, little daughter, and a son on the way). He takes great pleasure in showing them the joys of living on Vancouver Island in the places familiar to him when he was growing up.

Andrew’s current focus and second passion is Real Estate, specifically helping his clients attain their Real Estate goals whether they are sophisticated investors or first-time buyers. He has a personable and analytical approach to business mixed with a competitive nature that is still evident after his days as a competitive tennis and chess player. Andrew is comfortable communicating with clients in English, French, and Mandarin.

After graduating from the University of Victoria, Andrew spent one year teaching in France then one year at Oak Bay Secondary school. His next ten years were spent in Taiwan where he opened his own chess school that still runs today. Running his business in Taiwan was a challenging and successful venture that helpedAndrew hone his expertise in communication, marketing, negotiation and perseverance.
